Mushrif Park Dubai: The AED 3 Park That Feels Like a Weekend Trip

Mushrif Park Dubai featured

Mushrif Park Dubai costs AED 3 per person if you walk in or AED 10 per car if you drive in. The park opens at 8am daily and closes at 10pm from Sunday to Wednesday and at 11pm from Thursday to Saturday. Inside you get a swimming pool, more than 100 barbecue pits and the Aventura zipline park for that one small entry fee.

Mushrif Park is Dubai’s oldest public park. It opened in 1974 on Al Khawaneej Street in east Dubai and covers 5.25 square kilometres of ghaf tree forest. This guide covers the real ticket price, pool timings, Aventura prices, barbecue rules and the best gate to use. It is one of the five parks in our public parks in Dubai guide.

Mushrif Park Dubai Ticket Price: What Entry Really Costs

Entry costs AED 3 per person on foot or AED 10 per car, and you pay with a Nol card at the gate. Children under 2 and people of determination enter free. Residents and tourists pay exactly the same fee, so there is no separate tourist price to watch for.

There is no online ticket shop for the park itself. You simply arrive, tap your Nol card and walk or drive in. If your card is empty, a counter at the main entrance sells new cards and tops up old ones, but the queue gets long on Friday and Saturday afternoons. Top up before you go; the RTA site shows where to do it.

The per-car price creates a simple maths trick that most guides never spell out. One person in a car pays AED 10, which is more than triple the AED 3 walk-in price. A family of four in one car pays AED 10 flat instead of AED 12. Run your own numbers before you choose how to arrive.

Mushrif Park Dubai Entry Fee: Per Person vs Per Car

1 adultAED 3AED 10Walk in and save AED 7
2 adultsAED 6AED 10Walk in and save AED 4
Family of 4AED 12AED 10Drive in and save AED 2

The biggest gap hits solo drivers. One adult arriving by car pays more than triple the walk-in price, while a full car of four pays less than four walk-in tickets.

Mushrif Park Dubai Swimming Pool: Timings Fees and Rules

The pool is open from 9am to 9pm daily and costs about AED 10 for adults and AED 5 for children, paid by Nol card. There are separate pools for men and women, plus shallow areas for children, with lifeguards on duty and lockers for your belongings.

The pool ticket is not included in the park entry fee, so budget for both. When we checked recent visitor guides, a few listed AED 10.50 and AED 5.25, which looks like the same fee with small rounding differences at the till. Carry a little extra on your Nol card and you will be covered either way.

A few pool rules matter. Modest swimwear is expected, and some guides note that bikinis are not allowed. We could not verify any ladies-only hours, so treat the published 9am to 9pm window as the timing for everyone and check the notice board at the pool on the day.

Mushrif Park Dubai Adventure: Aventura Ticket Prices and What You Get

Aventura Parks sits inside Mushrif Park in a 35,000 square metre ghaf forest and sells its tickets separately from park entry. Expect to pay about AED 185 for the full adult circuit pass and about AED 150 for children under 1.4 metres, with about AED 10 for non-participating spectators. Check live prices on the Aventura Parks official site before you go, because adventure park prices move between seasons.

You get more than 24 ziplines and 80 plus obstacles across five circuits, from the low Ranger course for children to the Extreme circuit with its 25 metre Tarzan jump. The minimum height for a harness is 1.15 metres, and you must be 16 or older for the Extreme circuit. You get up to 3 hours on the courses, and the team asks you to arrive 20 minutes early for the safety briefing.

One warning for summer visitors: Aventura closes its outdoor courses through the hottest months, so confirm it is open before you promise the kids a zipline day. We found no separate tourist price here either; residents and visitors pay the same published rates.

Mushrif Park Dubai Barbecue Areas: How the 100 Plus Pits Work

Barbecues are allowed only in the designated barbecue areas, where the park provides more than 100 stone pits with picnic tables. You may bring your own coal and your own grill, but you must cook in the provided pits for safety.

The pits work on a first-come basis, and there is no booking system. On winter weekends the popular shaded spots fill by late morning, so arrive before 11am if the barbecue is the point of your trip. Bring everything you need, including coal, fire starters and bin bags, because the small park kiosks sell snacks and drinks rather than barbecue supplies.

Clean up when you finish. The pits stay usable only because visitors clear ash and rubbish, and rangers do fine people who leave a mess. If you want a park with the same barbecue freedom closer to the city, our Dubai Creek Park guide covers another strong picnic option.

Getting to Mushrif Park Dubai: The Al Khawaneej Street Entrance

Use the main gate on Al Khawaneej Street; it is the entrance with the Nol card counters, the biggest parking areas and the shortest walk to the pool and barbecue zones. Aventura has its own signed entrance near Gate 1, so follow the brown tourist signs once you are inside rather than re-entering.

Follow these steps:

  1. Take the Red Line to Centrepoint station, the last stop on the line.
  2. Leave the station and take a taxi to Mushrif Park on Al Khawaneej Street. The drive takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Tell the driver you want the main gate. Buses 11A and 11B also stop at Mushrif Park 1 near the entrance if you prefer public transport.
  4. If you drive yourself, follow Emirates Road (E311) toward Al Khawaneej and then the brown park signs. Parking areas sit just inside the entrances.

Mushrif Park Dubai in Two Hours or a Full Day: Two Ready Plans

Two hours is enough for the highlights if you move with a plan, while a full day lets you add the pool, a barbecue and Aventura without rushing. Pick the plan below that fits your schedule.

The Two Hour Route

Spend the first 20 minutes at the International Village, where 13 miniature houses show building styles from Thailand, Germany and Arabia. Walk or ride the small train (about AED 2 per person) through the ghaf forest for the next 30 minutes. Give the pool or the playgrounds 30 minutes after that. Finish with a picnic or a café stop at the barbecue lawns before you leave.

Make a Full Day of It

Arrive at 8am and cycle or jog the dedicated tracks while the air is still cool; cyclists ride free from 6am to 9pm. Tour the International Village mid-morning, then swim from late morning into the early afternoon. Fire up a barbecue pit for lunch, since the pits are first-come and the shade goes early. Book an Aventura afternoon slot for the ziplines, and end the day with the small train ride or a sunset walk. The Al Thuraya Astronomy Centre runs paid tours on most days if you want an evening activity; tour prices were listed at about AED 20 in recent guides, so confirm at the centre. Pair the day with our Dubai travel guide to plan the rest of your week.

The park rules are simple and strictly enforced. Barbecues stay in the designated pits, fires anywhere else bring a fine, and you must clear your rubbish. Pets are not allowed, alcohol is not allowed, and bikes must stay on the cycling tracks rather than the walking paths.

What is allowed:

  • Barbecues in the designated stone pits
  • Picnics anywhere on the lawns
  • Cycling on the cycling tracks with a helmet
  • Photography for personal use
  • Ball games on the sports courts

What is not allowed:

  • Fires or barbecues outside the pits
  • Pets of any kind
  • Alcohol
  • Bikes on pedestrian paths
  • Littering or leaving ash in the pits

Mushrif Park Dubai FAQs: Quick Answers Before You Go

What is the Mushrif Park Dubai ticket price?

Entry costs AED 3 per person on foot or AED 10 per car, paid by Nol card at the gate. Children under 2 and people of determination enter free. There is no online booking for park entry itself; you pay on arrival. Top up your Nol card before you go, because the top-up counter at the main gate gets busy on weekends.

What are the Mushrif Park Dubai swimming pool timings?

The pool is open from 9am to 9pm daily. Entry costs about AED 10 for adults and AED 5 for children and is paid separately from the park entry fee by Nol card. The complex has separate pools for men and women, shallow areas for children, lifeguards and lockers. We could not verify any ladies-only hours, so plan around the full 9am to 9pm window.

Can I light a barbecue anywhere in Mushrif Park Dubai?

No. Barbecues are allowed only in the designated barbecue areas, which hold more than 100 stone pits. You can bring your own coal and grill, but you must cook inside the provided pits. The pits are first-come with no booking, so arrive before 11am on winter weekends to claim a shaded spot near the trees.

Does Mushrif Park Dubai offer horse riding?

Yes. An equestrian club inside the park offers horse rides and riding lessons for beginners and experienced riders, and camel rides appear in the cooler season. Prices are set by the club and change often, so ask at the stables on the day rather than trusting old figures online. Wear closed shoes and bring sun protection for the ride.

Which gate should I use for Mushrif Park Dubai?

Use the main gate on Al Khawaneej Street. It has the Nol card counters, the largest parking areas and the shortest walk to the swimming pool and barbecue zones. If you are heading to Aventura, follow the internal signs to its own entrance near Gate 1 after you pass the main gate. Staying downtown and short on time? Zabeel Park is the quicker alternative.

Do children enter Mushrif Park Dubai for free?

Children under 2 enter free, and so do people of determination. Every other child pays the standard AED 3 walk-in fee or is covered by the AED 10 per-car charge. The swimming pool and Aventura charge their own separate fees for children, so budget for those on the day.
