The World Championship of Legends lands in Dubai from 9 to 11 October 2026, with four T20 matches at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (the 10 October evening game moved to Sharjah in the revised schedule). Evening games start at 7:30pm, tickets start from AED 25, and one ticket covers both matches on a double-header day. Read this first: Pakistan Champions are out of the tournament, so the scheduled India-Pakistan clash on 10 October is cancelled.
The WCL is the T20 league where retired cricket legends return to the field, and Season 3 is the first staged outside the United Kingdom. This post covers the Dubai leg only: the full schedule, tickets, and the teams coming. For everything else happening this month, see our October events guide.
| Detail | Dubai leg information |
|---|---|
| Dates | Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October 2026 |
| Venue | Dubai International Cricket Stadium |
| Match slots | 3:30pm and 7:30pm UAE daily |
| Matches | 4 in Dubai 9–11 Oct; India-Pakistan (10 Oct) cancelled, replaced by India vs South Africa at Sharjah |
| Tickets | From AED 25 via District; one ticket covers both matches of the day |
| Pakistan Champions | Out of the tournament after PCB denied player NOCs |
Every match day is a double-header with games at 3:30pm and 7:30pm UAE. Here is the Dubai schedule as announced by the organisers:
| Date | 3:30pm match | 7:30pm match |
|---|---|---|
| Friday 9 Oct | Australia vs South Africa | Bangladesh vs West Indies |
| Saturday 10 Oct | No Dubai match — revised fixture: India vs South Africa, 7:30pm, Sharjah Cricket Stadium | |
| Sunday 11 Oct | Australia vs West Indies | India vs Bangladesh |
The rest of Season 3 plays at Sharjah Cricket Stadium from 3 to 8 October, with the final on 18 October, also in Sharjah. Check the official World Championship of Legends site before heading to the stadium, because fixture listings around the cancelled match are still updating.

Pakistan Champions withdrew from WCL Season 3 after the Pakistan Cricket Board denied the players’ no-objection certificates. The team owner accepted the decision, and the side was removed from the tournament before the Dubai leg.
That makes the India-Pakistan fixture on 10 October, which many sites still list as scheduled, definitively cancelled. The revised schedule fills the evening slot with India vs South Africa at Sharjah Cricket Stadium (7:30pm UAE). Shahid Afridi, who was expected to lead Pakistan’s legends, is also out of the tournament after retiring from the event earlier this year. If you bought tickets mainly for that rivalry game, check the refund policy on your ticket before match day.

Tickets are sold through District by Zomato, with prices starting from AED 25 and running to around AED 250 depending on the stand. One ticket covers both matches on a double-header day, so you can watch the 3:30pm and 7:30pm games on a single entry.
Practically: gates open 90 minutes before the start, seating is open on a first-come, first-served basis, so arrive early for the evening games. Children aged 4 and above need a valid ticket, food and drink are not available inside the venue, and outside food and alcohol are restricted. For planning the rest of your trip around the matches, our Dubai travel guide covers the practical basics. Visit Dubai lists more October events across the city.
Six Champion sides contest the Dubai leg. India Champions, led by Yuvraj Singh, feature Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Robin Uthappa and Yusuf Pathan. Australia Champions bring David Warner for his WCL debut. Defending champions South Africa arrive with AB de Villiers. West Indies Champions include Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo. England Champions feature Moeen Ali, and Bangladesh Champions, the tournament’s newest side, are led by Mahmudullah Riyad.
The pick of the Dubai fixtures is Australia vs South Africa on 9 October, and India vs Bangladesh closes the Dubai leg on 11 October. For the full season context beyond Dubai, the official WCL website carries the Sharjah fixtures and standings.
