Global Village Season 31: What Changes on 14 October

Global Village is the biggest October opening in Dubai. Season 31 begins at 6pm on Wednesday 14 October 2026 and runs until May 2027. The theme this season is “A More Wonderful World”.

The park mixes cultural pavilions, street food, rides and live shows. Last season it ran more than 90 pavilions and over 200 food and drink options. Expect a similar scale, with the biggest crowds on the opening weekend, so pick a weekday evening if you can.

Season 31 entry prices were not yet announced when we checked. Last season’s entry cost AED 25 on weekdays and AED 30 for an any-day ticket. Children under 3, guests over 65 and People of Determination plus one companion entered free.

Buy through the official website or app rather than resellers, and confirm the Season 31 hours before you go.

Dubai Police have warned about fake websites selling Global Village VIP packs. Buy VIP packs only through the official Global Village site or the Coca-Cola Arena site. Check the web address before you pay, because the fake pages look convincing.

Season 31 VIP Packs are on sale now, exclusively on the Coca-Cola Arena website — Silver from AED 1,890 up to Diamond at AED 7,900. One pack hides an AED 31,000 cheque, and the Mega packs pair Global Village privileges with Dubai Parks and Resorts passes.

There is no Metro station at Global Village. RTA runs seasonal shuttle buses, including routes from Mall of the Emirates, or you can take a taxi. Allow 30 to 45 minutes from the Marina.

Some parking zones, such as P1, P3 and P5, were listed as free last season; check our free parking in Dubai guide for the current rules. Our Global Village Dubai guide covers pavilions, rides and tickets in more detail.

Dubai Miracle Garden Season 15: Prices, Resident Tickets and What Is New

Dubai Miracle Garden reopens on Thursday 8 October 2026 for its 15th season, with more than 150 million flowers on display. The garden opens 9am to 9pm daily, with last entry 30 minutes before closing.

Ticket prices changed this season. The announced prices exclude 5% VAT, so the amount you actually pay is higher than the headline price.

Resident child (3 to 12)AED 50AED 52.50

For a family visit, two resident adults pay AED 147 including VAT. Two tourist adults pay AED 210.

Two adults with two children pay AED 252 for residents or AED 378 for tourists. You need a valid Emirates ID for the resident price, so tourists should budget the general rates.

Take the Red Line to Mall of the Emirates, then bus 105 to the garden. The bus fare is AED 5.

Taxis are easy from the Metro station. Give yourself two to three hours inside the garden, and go before 11am or after 4pm while October afternoons are still hot.

Our Dubai Miracle Garden guide has a two-hour route through the main displays and the Butterfly Garden add-on. Check the official Dubai Miracle Garden website for opening-day events and combo offers.

Dubai Parks and Resorts, Dubai Safari Park and the Dubai Home Festival

Dubai Parks and Resorts reopens on Wednesday 7 October. Motiongate Dubai, Real Madrid World, Legoland Dubai and Riverland Dubai all restart then. Legoland Water Park opens on selected dates only, so check its calendar before you plan a water-park day.

Dubai Safari Park reopens on Monday 12 October under the theme “Live More Wild Life”. The park added new experiences for the 2026-27 season, and October mornings are the right temperature for walking the animal zones.

These two reopenings draw smaller crowds than Global Village and the Miracle Garden. They are good picks for the school half-term week from 10 to 18 October, when the big attractions are busiest.

Dubai Home Festival: the autumn sale, 16 October to 1 November

The Dubai Home Festival runs from Friday 16 October to Sunday 1 November 2026. It is the city’s autumn retail festival for homeware, furniture and décor. Expect discounts of up to 75% at participating stores, plus prize draws and home-makeover giveaways.

It suits residents furnishing flats, but tourists can pick up smaller décor pieces and gifts. Set up a shipping plan before buying big furniture. Check the official Dubai Home Festival listing on Visit Dubai for participating stores and prizes.

Dubai Fitness Challenge and Halloween: Saturday 31 October Does Double Duty

Saturday 31 October 2026 carries two events. The Dubai Fitness Challenge starts its 10th edition on that day, and Halloween falls on the same date. You can do both: a morning workout and an evening party.

The challenge runs from 31 October to 29 November 2026. It asks everyone to complete 30 minutes of activity for 30 days.

It is free and open to residents and tourists. Register on the official Dubai Fitness Challenge website.

The big flagship events fall mostly in November: Dubai Ride on 1 November, the stand-up-paddle challenge on 7 and 8 November, Dubai Run on 22 November and Dubai Yoga on 29 November. If your trip is in October only, day one on 31 October is the part you can join.

Halloween parties and brunches run across Dubai on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October. Hotel brunches usually cost AED 300 to 600.

Family trick-or-treat events run in malls and parks. The popular parties sell out, so book ahead.

Whatever you choose, October evenings belong outside. The sea is still warm and the lit night beaches stay open late with lifeguards. Our Dubai night beach guide lists the supervised swimming spots.

New for October: Etihad Rail Opens Its Dubai Station

New this month: Etihad Rail started passenger services from Dubai on Wednesday 30 September 2026. The Dubai station is Al Yalayis in Jumeirah Golf Estates. A 400-metre walkway links it to Jumeirah Golf Estates station on the Metro Red Line.

Fares start at AED 39 for Comfort Class and AED 109 for Premium on the Dubai to Abu Dhabi route. The trip takes about 64 minutes. Dubai to Fujairah trains start at AED 29 and take about 70 minutes.

This gives October visitors a new option for a day trip to Abu Dhabi without renting a car. Book on the Etihad Rail website. Premium seats on the first trains sold out quickly, so book ahead for weekend travel.

October Weather in Dubai: What the Numbers Mean for Your Plans

The National Center of Meteorology reports October mean maximums of 35.0 to 36.8°C and mean minimums of 22.7 to 26.2°C. The overall October average sits between 28.7 and 30.8°C.

The sea stays around 30°C. Early mornings can bring fog, and humidity drops as the month goes on.

In practice, mornings before 10am and evenings after 6pm feel comfortable outdoors. The middle of the day is still summer-hot, so plan malls, museums or the hotel pool between 11am and 4pm. This is a big shift from the peak-summer months our things to do in Dubai in summer guide covers.

October is when the desert safari season restarts properly. Evening tours leave in the late afternoon and the night air is pleasant after the dune drive. Carry water and sunscreen even on evening trips, because the late-afternoon sun is still strong.

Pack light, breathable clothes, swimwear, a hat and sunscreen. Add a light layer for air-conditioned malls. Evenings are warm, so you will not need a jacket.

Fact Check: What Other October Guides Get Wrong

October guides go stale fast because Dubai’s calendar shifts every year. Here is what we corrected for 2026.

What you will readWhat is accurate
“GITEX Global runs in October”It moved to December 2026. The summit is on Monday 7 December at the Dubai World Trade Centre, and the exhibition runs from 8 to 11 December at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai. Many hotel and SEO pages still show October dates from the old schedule.
“Diwali falls in October”In 2026 the main Diwali night is Sunday 8 November, and Dubai’s Festival of Lights retail programme runs from 2 to 12 November. Diwali fell on 20 October in 2025, which is why older guides still say October.
“Dubai Fitness Challenge runs all through October”The 10th edition starts on Saturday 31 October and runs to 29 November. Only one day of the challenge falls in October.
“Global Village opens in late October”Season 31 opens on Wednesday 14 October at 6pm, as announced by the organisers. The season runs until May 2027.
“Miracle Garden tickets cost AED 55”Season 15 prices start at AED 70 for residents and AED 100 for general visitors, and both exclude 5% VAT. The AED 55 figures are from past seasons.
“Fridays are the weekend, so parks open late”The UAE weekend has been Saturday and Sunday since 2022. Friday openings follow normal schedules.
